Raymond Gizzi's Biography
Raymond Gizzi, the son of a Parisian mother and Roman father, was born on April 16, 1947. Raised in picturesque Provence, he learned to appreciate the light and color of this region before discovering his own artistic talent.
Through enriching professional experiences, as well as endless hours of self-discipline, Gizzi discovered unique ways to express his sensibilities on canvas. In 1985, he participated in his first exhibition at the Relais Cuturel des Saintes Maries de la Mer. Encouraged by the success of the show, he decided to devote himself completely to art. Since then, Gizzi has participated in exhibitions throughout the region of Provence - including Les Baux, Aigures Mortes, Aix, Bandol, Saint Paul de Vence, and Montpellier. His light-capturing paintings can be found in many public and private collections in Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, Geneva, London, Sidney, Tokyo, Washington, New York and Los Angeles.
