Andre Roubaud's Biography
Born in France in 1929, Andre Roubaud received his formal artistic training in Paris. Roubaud has always enjoyed painting things that surround him - landscapes, flowers and people. In 1957, he began winning prizes in Paris and Marseille, and later exhibited successfully in Mexico, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Canada and the United States.
His paintings exhibit vivid colors and thick, painterly texture in hues of bright yellow, green, red and blue. Roubaud's adept palette knife, and thick paint around his canvas lends great depth to his paintings. Roubaud has achieved international recognition while winning numerous honors during his career.
